Kevin Federline's lawyer wants Britney Spears to pay some of her ex-husband's legal expenses in their divorce case, court documents show.
Attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan said in an Aug. 26 declaration that Federline has "no net income" after various expenses, and that his spousal support of $20,000 a month ends in November. Spears, meanwhile, brings in an average monthly income of $737,868.
Spears is "clearly the 'monied party'" in the dispute and should pay $50,000 for Federline's litigation expenses, Kaplan argued.
An after-hours message left Thursday with Spears' attorney was not immediately returned.
Spears married Federline in October 2004, eight months after her first marriage to childhood friend Jason Alexander was annulled. She cited irreconcilable differences when she filed for divorce from Federline on Nov. 7, 2006.
The couple's divorce became official July 30.
Since February, Spears, 25, and Federline, 29, have shared custody of their sons, 23-month-old Sean Preston and 11-month-old Jayden James.

Respect for royal family at new low since Diana`s death

London: Princess Diana`s death has damaged the reputation of the royal family in Britain, with "respect" falling sharply below 50 per cent for the first time in 10 years, according to a new poll.
The `Yougov` poll has revealed the sharp decline -- from 64 per cent to 49 per cent -- among Britons on the tenth death anniversary of the Princess of Wales today, `The Daily Telegraph`, which commissioned the survey, reported here.
According to the poll, 48 per cent of the people in Britain do not believe the royal family has changed for the better as a result of the way Princess Diana had lived and died in a car crash in Paris ten years back.
While only six per cent Britons said their opinion of the Royal family had changed for the better, a clear 25 per cent of those questioned during the poll said it had declined over the past decade.
But it is the headline figure about respect falling below 50 per cent for the first time in an opinion poll "which will dominate the debate about the impact of the Princess of Wales on the royal family", according to the British daily.
The poll also shows that 82 per cent of people in the country believed that Princess Diana had a "remarkable ability" to connect. A further 80 per cent said that "she genuinely cared about people who were ill, disabled or disadvantaged in some way".
The opinion poll has revealed that an extraordinary 89 per cent of people knew exactly where the members of the royal family were when they heard that the princess had died in the car crash in Paris on August 31, 1997.
Despite a British government report concluding that the accident was caused by the Princess` chauffeur, Henri Paul, 43 per cent people still think Diana`s death was "suspicious".
Even a decade on from her death, the cause of the crash continues to provoke controversy, the poll shows. "The monarchy will look carefully at these figures because, as an institution, it cannot afford to be complacent. It has adapted in the past, it will continue to adapt, but it cannot move ahead of public opinion...," the daily quoted Vernon Bogdanor, a professor at Oxford University, as saying.

Weinstein Supports Lindsay Lohan

According to Hollywood.com, movie mogul Harvey Weinstein has spoken up his support for Lindsay Lohan. Which could go a long way in Lindsay Lohan recovering her acting career.
[Weinstein says] he’d hire her tomorrow, despite all her legal and personal issues…
But despite all of her problems, revered producer Weinstein insists the 21-year-old is still at the top of his wish list for a string of upcoming movies.
The mogul, who worked with Lohan on ensemble movie Bobby, says, "I just hope that Lindsay is fine. She’s a good lady… She’s a wonderful actress. She did a great job in Bobby. Lindsay is a wonderful talent."
Thanks to wonderful people like this, I think Lindsay Lohan will be just fine.

Owen Wilson’s Suicide Attempt Confirmed

The details behind Owen Wilson’s trip to the hospital have slowly become available as public record. And the latest development backs up claims that the You, Me and Dupree star did indeed try to take his own life.
According to press reports, “Extra has obtained the Calls For Service report from the Santa Monica Police Department, which lists the reason for the 911 call from Owen Wilson’s house on Sunday as an ‘attempted suicide’.”
The emergency call was made by the actor’s younger brother, Luke, who found Owen. The call was placed on August 26 at 12:08 p.m.
From that point, the Wedding Crashers actor was taken to St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica before being transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he is currently listed in “good condition.”
Owen’s dark day had a tremendous impact on the close-knit Hollywood community, especially effecting Owen’s ex, Kate Hudson.
Insider’s on the set of Kate’s latest movie, Bachelor No. 2, claim that the Raising Helen actress “broke down on the set of her new movie after hearing about his apparent suicide bid.”

Fast and the Furious 4 coming - next summer?

Reports are surfacing that Universal are developing a fourth movie in the hit FAST AND THE FURIOUS franchise. Sources over at car site Edmunds are reporting that the movie is in the works at the studio, and could even grace our screens as early as next summer!
The site reports that the fourth flick could unite characters from all of the first three movies -- notably Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Tyrese Gibson and Lucas Black. After all, Vin did appear at the end of THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS: TOKYO DRIFT -- for about 30 seconds...
The rumours are that the next movie will be set entirely in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Chris Angel has hit out at rumours that he is the new man in Britney Spears’ life.The illusionist revealed that he was just helping the pop star for her MTV Video Music Awards gig.
"It's amazing what people think. We're not together,” the People quoted Angel, as saying.
“Her manager is my manager, and I'm helping with one of her shows. I'm helping with her appearance on MTV,” he said.
Speculations of Angel and Britney’s romance arose after the two were spotted hanging out on August 15 at Cravings Restaurant in West Hollywood.
The ‘Mindfreak’ star insisted that the dinner was just professional and they were not alone.
“Yes, I'm here working on some stuff, and we went to that restaurant with 10 people. We were talking about how she wants to do something more with the [awards] show, and about me helping out and hoping to work with her on doing something to make her MTV appearance more innovative,” he said.
"It's amazing how you can't do anything now without people making up stuff," he added.
The pop star has been in talks with the show’s bosses to perform at the September 9 show at the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
However, neither MTV nor Spears's reps have confirmed whether she'll appear.

It is thirty years to the day that Elvis finally left the building. On August 16th, 1977, Elvis Aaron Presley died, aged just 42.
Thirty years on and thousands of fans are holding a vigil at Graceland, Elvis's home in Memphis, Tennessee. A tribute concert is planned to take place at his home later today and former wife Priscilla Presley and daughter Lisa-Marie are expected to attend. On Friday ten lucky finalists will take part in an official Elvis Presley impersonator contest, run by Elvis Presley Enterprises.
The Graceland mansion, where the King is buried, attracts 600,000 visitors every year.

Child Begging

We watch them daily raising their little hands before strangers and most of the time they are screamed at. Isn’t it possible that these little beggars are just another group of harassed victims? Or worse, the ugly face of a bonded life, blatantly existing in metros.Everyday we see a number of children begging on the roads and we just turn our backs on them by saying, "What can we do?"
More than our money, these little beggars expect compassion towards their tragic lives so that they could be rescued from this vicious circle of poverty and pain. They are helpless and seek public support.
A beggar’s life is far more tragic than we can imagine. Standing at traffic signals, begging for that elusive rupee or two in exchange for a flower or a balloon can be anything but personal choice.
Most begging children don’t actually have a choice. They just have to work irrespective of fever or any other disease. Teenager girl beggars suffer the worst. Be it a lorry-driver, auto-rickshaw driver or the notorious traffic policeman, all look at them with bad intention. And, the poor helpless girls cannot do much about it.
Informing more about this social evil, Rakesh Seneger, National Secretary, Bachpan Bachao Andolan, said, “The child beggars are part of a forced beggary racket. They are trained how to carry crutches to appear disabled on road and later paid Rs 10 or 20 as commission out of their daily earnings."
There are gang leaders that include females also, who keep a check on the beggars so that they could not steal the money. Or if children are found doing so they are beaten black and blue for that.
"In Delhi, many individuals in Rohini’s Lal Quarters area, have been allegedly running training centres for child beggars. Areas like Delhi ’s Mahipalpur, Mehrauli and Vasant Kunj traffic signals are the main begging points," said Seneger.
For some, the bonded beggary is the cost they pay after running away from their native land. But for others, it is the last choice to avoid a threat to be made a prostitute or served before any pedophile.
"My uncle takes away my daily-earnings and arranges food for us. We are four sisters and all of us work at this traffic signal. Though sometimes people are kind but sometime they are very rude. Many a times we find people gazing at us in a bad way. I don’t want to go to school. It doesn’t pay. I sell flowers at times at this traffic signal, but my sisters beg for our ailing mother’s treatment," said 14-year-old Anita (name changed) near Moti Bagh traffic signal.
There are occasional beggars, who are in the daily wage business and take to begging when the going gets tough. Sociologists say that the problem of begging exists due to the absence of organized system of charity.
"Begging is also seen as a respectable activity in India. In all, other societies, charity is seen as respectable. In order to have charity, you have to have the people who are to be benefited by charity. Unfortunately, in India, we could not evolve a mechanism for organised charity," said Purshotam Aggarwal, a sociologist.
